Materials and sizes vary by product. Inspection points for bags

Inspection for the bags category covers zip cycle testing where the product has zips, handle and strap load testing, and stitching strength checks. On tote and shopping bags the handle load and stitching checks are the relevant ones.

• Handle load: handles are load tested, since a failed handle ends the useful life of a repeat-use bag immediately.
• Stitching: stitching strength is checked at the seams and attachment points.
• Zips: where a product has a zip, it is cycle tested.

Test reports and certificates can be arranged with third-party laboratories per product and destination market. Certificates are available upon request. Tell us the destination market at enquiry stage so the correct documentation route is agreed before production, not after.
